Haute Lap: Formula1 2025 Season Wrapped

Here is the official Haute Lap Formula 1 2025 Wrapped.
We’re debriefing the chaos, unpacking the gossip, reflecting on the highs and lows and for those who didn’t watch a single lap,

we’re serving all the tea, piping haute

Lewis’ switch to the red side

This season was meant to be historic for Lewis Hamilton. A switch to the iconic Ferrari, a fresh team, a new car, and a clear hunger to win. On paper, it’s a legacy.

But the grass wasn’t greener on the other side.

It was in fact RED.

It would be easy to say Ferrari just had a bad season.

A slippery slope saw them tumble from nearly winning the Constructors’ title to scrapping just for P4, feeling the full carpet burn of pressure.

Ferrari therapy is booked and busy…

Lewis called this the worst season of his career, and Nico Rosberg even questioned whether it damages his legacy.

What’s happening inside Maranello? Nobody knows.

What we do know is that Lewis is, was, and will always be a champion.

After rain comes sunshine, never doubt he’ll rise again.

As he said: none of them have done what he’s done.

Last One In, First One Out

The musical chairs of 2025 were… chaotic.

Liam Lawson

A rookie with big hype and big expectations for the Red Bull seat.

But the pressure cooked him early, he was swapped with Yuki before we could even blink.

Jack Doohan & Franco

Jack started alongside Pierre at Alpine, with one rule: Perform or step aside.

By race six, Alpine made the call, Jack out, Franco in.

Was it a good call? I guess that’s for you to decide.

All we know is that alpine have more to worry about than who’s in the seat.

Williams: The Glow Up

Williams told Carlos to trust the process, and he did.

Two podiums later, we’re wondering… are Williams really back?

This OG team might seriously shock us next year.

They’ve been consistent and always in the fight.

Well. Done. To. Them.

Surprise Podiums

Speaking of surprises… this was the season of unexpected podiums.

What A Rookie Mistake (Plural)

As if that wasn’t chaotic enough, we saw our fair share of rookie disasters:

But honestly?
This might be the best rookie class we’ve had. They kept pace, held their ground.

Rookie podium count this season: 3.

Next year they won’t be rookies anymore, so let’s see who becomes a giant.

Papaya Rules

Now let’s move to the real battlefield…
McLaren really said: “We’re the blueprint.”

We can’t deny it, they ruled this season.
But the rulebook wasn’t always diplomatic.

Fans definitely felt Lando was favoured at times, loyalty to the driver who’s been there longer and has grown with the team.

But at the end of the day, Formula 1 is a team sport with only one winner in the Drivers’ Championship.

Wait too long to play the strategy right and neither driver wins

and this season came dangerously close to proving that.

Drivers’ Championship

Well, well, well.

This was entertaining weren’t it.

I guess we all lost sleep this season at some point

We haven’t seen a finale this tight since 2021 – it really went down to the final race.

And guess what?

His first Drivers’ Championship.

Are we shocked?

Maybe a little – Oscar looked like the logical winner for so long that everyone accepted it as fact.

But mistakes, misfortune, and pure chaos sent Oscar falling into P3. Meanwhile, Max rose from the dead and refused to go quietly.

Lando kept swinging right until the last lap.

Max may have won the final race, but by just two points, it wasn’t enough.

Lando took the drivers championship!!!

Some may say its luck but we believeit was blood, sweat, and papaya tears.

2026: A New Era

2026 is about to be a whole new sport.

So many changes.
So many opportunities to get it very right… or very wrong.

It will be a year you do not want to miss.

“2025 taught us the only thing predictable in F1 is unpredictability.”

That’s the 2025 season wrapped.
Until next year, besties.

And for those who read this thinking “I understood none of that,” fear not – I’ll be launching the Haute Lap F1 Beginner’s Guide right before next season starts. Stay tuned. 🏁
