Where Cars Run on Elegance and Old Money

You’d probably think Nineteen pounds at Silverstone gets you a red bull and a bag of crisps. And you’d probably be right, but not this time…

Instead you can get a general admission ticket to the Motor Racing Legends – Woodcote Trophy and Pall Mall cup Partnered with the Royal Automobile club , not exactly a Grand Prix, but close enough. Equip with Qualifying, racing, podium and all.

And no, this isn’t Formula 1, but it  is motorsport – elegant, timeless, and undeniably glamorous.

So, was it worth it? Let’s dive in. It’s about to get haute!

Vintage Display of Cars

This wouldn’t be the Motor racing legends without the vintage cars, pre-war classics, Bentleys, Porsches, and Jaguars flooding the venue.

You immediately appreciate the elegance of these machines, they’re statements. Stylish, slick, and unapologetically iconic.

It’s a rare occasion to see such old classics all in one space, a refreshing break from the hyper-modern race cars we usually see.

Escapade Silverstone

Escapade Trackside house
Rooftop Silverstone hotel

Escapade is the main luxury accommodation at Silverstone, a sleek complex that includes a hotel, trackside residences, a restaurant, rooftop bar, gym, and pool – all sitting right at the foot of the start line.

Because the event wasn’t overcrowded, I had the opportunity to fully explore Escapade and all its wonders.

The Gallery is the stunning restaurant where you dine amongst art and automotive beauty. Ayrton Senna’s glittering helmet, abstract car installations, and sculptural design touches, that fuse racing with refinement.

I was able to eat, drink, sit on the rooftop, and watch the race, all without a reservation.

At a Formula 1 Grand Prix, that kind of access would cost a Chanel bag!!!

Escapade is a luxury spot every Motorsport fan should experience. The entire area has a sleek, modern feel, the trackside houses each have their own distinctive, abstract architecture, complete with balconies overlooking the circuit.

Imagine waking up, stepping out from your living room, and watching cars thunder past your balcony. No TV could ever deliver that level of immersion.

This level of exclusivity is a privilege and one worth every moment.

The People Make it!

The day was fun, interactive, and welcoming. Drivers, mechanics, and staff were friendly, approachable, and always ready to share stories or offer directions.

The human element really adds to the charm – it’s not just a race, it’s a community.

I especially loved chatting with the mechanics. They explained the types of cars they were working on, their expectations for the race, and how they maintain such historic machines. I came away knowing far more than I anticipated and loved every minute of it.

Final Lap

If you love motorsport and want a taste of the circuit without breaking the bank, this is the event to attend.

Vintage cars, racing, and that signature Haute Lap vibe – Silverstone’s Motor Racing Legends has it all.

Reasonably priced, full of interactive extras (yes, including simulators), and oozing with style.

This one’s going straight onto my Haute List , where I’ll be sharing all the must attend motorsport events for racing lovers and Formula 1 fans alike.

Watch this space… we’re keeping it haute.
